Tanzania's northern circuit is one of the most celebrated safari destinations on earth, and with very good reason. Within a relatively compact geographic area it contains some of the greatest wildlife spectacles, most dramatic landscapes and most extraordinary natural history that Africa has to offer.
A safari is only as good as the sum of its parts, and the parts that matter most are the ones that guests experience directly. The camp where they sleep, the food they eat, the guide who takes them out at dawn, the light aircraft that lifts them over the Serengeti and sets them down in the middle of it.
Safaris in Tanzania are usually booked for the incredible wildlife and spectacular landscapes and all that goes with them. Food is, at best, an afterthought in the planning conversation, and this is entirely understandable.

Of all the animals that define an East African safari, the leopard is the one that most consistently refuses to cooperate. Lions sleep in full view on termite mounds and pride themselves, quite literally, on being seen.
